Platform architecture
The technical evaluation concerns a four-arm, multi-port platform with a surgeon console and patient-side cart. Edge Medical uses MP1000 model terminology; this site refers to the product as OMNIBOT MP 1000. Confirm that the offered configuration and documents identify the same device. Manufacturer descriptions are not proof of local authorization.
Console, visualization & ergonomics
Review the console layout and 3D visualization in a model-specific demonstration. Evaluate posture, reach, hand controls, foot controls, visibility, communication and how the team changes between console and bedside tasks. Ergonomic suitability should be assessed by the actual users rather than treated as a guaranteed clinical benefit.
Patient cart & instruments
Map arm positioning, docking, access for the bedside team and emergency undocking to the proposed operating room. Verify the endoscope, compatible instruments and accessories against the current configuration and instructions. Do not assume that an instrument listed for another platform is interchangeable.
Keep model boundaries explicit
MP1000, MP2000 and SP1000 are separate model identifiers. A result, dimension, accessory or connectivity feature reported for one does not establish the same property for the others. The academic library preserves the model named in each publication; model equivalence is not inferred.
Technical acceptance dossier
No unsourced dimensions or specification table is presented. Request the dated model-specific technical dossier and validate it before room planning or procurement.
