Telesurgery & Connectivity

Separate published remote-surgery research from the clinical, technical and regulatory availability of a proposed local configuration.

For professional education and institutional evaluation. Published research is not authorization for use in Mexico or another country. Confirm the exact device, local registration, current instructions and institutional permissions before clinical use.

Research is not a service promise

A documented telesurgery trial describes a particular model, network, distance, clinical protocol and authorized setting. It does not establish routine availability, cross-border permission or connectivity functionality on every OMNIBOT MP 1000 configuration. Check the model and protocol in the original publication.

Latency is only one measure

A network review should specify end-to-end latency, jitter, packet loss, bandwidth, redundancy, cybersecurity, monitoring and how deterioration is detected. A favorable test measurement is not a guaranteed threshold during every operation. Neither 5G coverage nor internet access alone establishes readiness.

Backup & authorization review

Determine who can safely take over at the bedside, the failover procedure, stop criteria and incident reporting. Obtain device-specific confirmation of the supported network architecture and written approvals for the proposed clinical setting.
